iPhone tractor guidance · in development

Straight passes and a spray log on the phone you already own.

$29.99 a year. Free for 3 fields. No card, no trial trap. In development for iPhone.

I'm building this for small farms, hobby farms and sprayer operators in the US and Canada. Nothing to download yet.

What I'm building

Guidance, coverage and the spray record in one app

Prototype screens, October 2026. The final app will look different.

Prototype screen: a field list with three fields, each with its acres and last passprototype

Fields

Every field, one tap away

Draw a field once. Set your implement width once. Pick it from the list next time you're in the cab.

  • Field boundary drawn over satellite imagery
  • Implement width saved per field
  • Acres and last pass at a glance
Prototype screen: satellite view with an A-B line, parallel passes painting in, an acre counter and an accuracy badgeprototype

Guidance

Set A, drive, set B

Parallel passes at your width. Coverage paints in behind you, acres count up live.

  • A-B lines at your implement width
  • Coverage painted in over satellite imagery
  • Live acre counter
  • Accuracy badge always on screen: about ±10 ft on phone GPS, about ±5 ft with a $500 Bluetooth receiver
Prototype screen: a spray record with field, date, product, rate, acres, boom width and wind, and an export buttonprototype

Spray log

The spray record, filled in from the pass

Exported as CSV when you finish. Offline satellite tiles, so it works with no signal.

  • Field, date, product, rate, acres, boom width, wind
  • CSV export that opens in Numbers or Excel
  • Works with no cell signal

Accuracy

Honest about what phone GPS can do

Phone GPS is fine for wide booms and jobs where 10 ft doesn't matter. For tighter work, add a receiver. Here's what each one really gets you.

Phone GPSno extra costReceiverplanned supportReceiver + correctionsplanned support
AccuracyAbout ±10 ft (3 m)About ±5 ft (1.5 m), steadierUnder 1 m
Extra hardwareNoneAbout $500$750 to $1,500, plus a correction service

Auto-steerNoNoNo

Phone GPS drifts more in a metal cab or a pocket. Lay it flat on the dash with sky above it. The accuracy is always shown on screen.

How it will work

From the dash to a spray record in three steps

  1. Phone on the dash

Flat, sky above it, 30 seconds to lock on. The badge turns green when it's ready.

  2. Set A, drive, set B

The parallel lines appear at your implement width. Follow the next one. Coverage paints in as you go.

  3. Finish and export

Acres, time and the spray record are filled in. Tap export and the CSV opens in Numbers or Excel.

FAQ

Questions

When can I use it?

It's in development. There's nothing to download yet. If enough people want it, it's built over the winter so it's ready for spring. The waitlist hears first.

How accurate is it, really?

Phone GPS is about ±10 ft (3 m) and drifts more in a metal cab or a pocket. That's fine for spraying, spreading, mowing and food plots, and not fine for planting rows. A Bluetooth GNSS receiver around $500 gets you about ±5 ft and a steadier line. Cheaper ones ($120 to $180) aren't much better than the phone. Under a metre takes a $750 to $1,500 receiver plus a correction service. The app will support receivers and always shows the accuracy you're getting. No auto-steer.

Does it work with no cell signal?

That's the plan: satellite tiles for your fields are saved on the phone, and GPS doesn't need a signal.

Android?

iPhone first. If enough people on the waitlist ask for Android, I'll look at it.

What does it cost?

Free for 3 fields, with no card. $29.99 a year for more fields. No trial, so nothing to cancel by accident.

What happens to my email?

It's stored with your answers to the questions, where you came from and your country, and used for the launch email. Nothing is sold or shared. Details in the privacy policy.

Who's making it?
